What is pan agonist??

Pan agonist term may be new to many students and professionals.

Pan agonist are the agents which acts on more than two isoform of the receptor. Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPARs) are group of receptors like PPAR- alpha, PPAR-gamma, PPAR-delta etc.


The drug which acts on more than two type of the PPAR receptors are called as pan agonist.
They are also sometime called as dual agonist.
Example of the drugs: bezafibrate,
